Unique Client Solutions on How to Close a Sale

Nottingham-based customer acquisitions company Unique Client Solutions shares their secrets on how to close a sale.

In the competitive world of customer acquisitions and direct marketing that Unique Client Solutions operates in, closing a sale is the deciding factor. You might have a great pitch, you might build great relationships with your customers, but unless you can close it’s all been a bit pointless.  Here are our top 5 tips to ensure a successful close.

Communicate clearly

Every pitch and every customer is going to be slightly different but you must get all your key details in there every time. Unless the customer can remember all the details you’re not going to have much success. Unique Client Solutions recommends that you practice changing up your pitch as much as possible but make sure that the main features remain the same. Try using a voice recorder to check up on yourself and to make sure that you’re coming across as you hoped.

Make eye contact

Eye contact shows confidence in your product and confidence in yourself. Don’t look down at your feet or stare off into the distance, it makes people think that you’re not telling the truth. At the same time don’t stare, that will definitely put them off!

Use humour

Being relaxed and funny is definitely no bad thing, no matter how serious the product you're selling. People feel better when they’re laughing as it puts them at ease. You’re far more likely to close a sale when you and your customer are happy and relaxed. Unique Client Solutions suggests making your ice-breakers funny or sharing amusing (short!) anecdotes.

Remain positive

No matter how difficult a customer, or how badly you think the sale is going, you must remain positive. Keep the atmosphere light and maintain a can-do attitude at all times. They might simply be testing you. Also Unique Client Solutions is certain that the moment you become negative about the sale and think that it’s not going to go through, is the moment you’ll lose the sale. Negativity always falls to positivity in our experience!

Always ask one more time

At Unique Client Solutions we don’t think it’s rude to persist, we think it shows success and confidence in what we do. Asking for the all important ‘yes’ one more time simply shows the customer that you’re more sold on your view than you are on theirs. Go on, ask one more time, you never know...

Unique Client Solutions Confident Growth 100 Will Make a Difference

Unique Client Solutions, a customer acquisitions company with offices in Nottingham, is confident that the city’s new Growth 100 plan will be a huge help to new businesses.

The managing director of Unique Client Solutions, Simon Tomlinson, knows only too well how difficult starting a new business can be. Therefore he was delighted when he learnt that Nottingham was leading the way in helping new business owners to develop their skills. The new scheme, called Growth 100, has been set up by the city council to allow experienced business leaders to give management coaching and share practical skills with newcomers.

The council is currently inviting businesses, both new and established, to sign up to the scheme and the programme is set to start in early 2013. Along with local business leaders, academic experts will also be on hand to give out advice.  What does Mr Tomlinson of Unique Client Solutions think of the scheme? “Quite frankly I’m very impressed. This is exactly the sort of thing that helps businesses to survive and grow in an uncertain economic climate. Within our own company we have a strong business development programme and we find that guidance from those with more experience gives newcomers much more confidence and the practical skills to succeed.”

Nick McDonald from Nottingham City Councils Jobs, Skills and Business office has big plans for the scheme. He said, “We believe our Growth Plan has the potential to completely restructure this city’s economy.” The plan for the scheme is to equip business owners and leaders with the skills to help create more jobs in the city and Mr Tomlinson agrees that this must be a priority.

“At Unique Client Solutions we’ve seen the difficulties that people face in finding a job, particularly young graduates or school leavers. New businesses are far more likely to have entry-level positions available so I think that this scheme will help this group particularly.”

Businesses who are interested in applying to the scheme should email businessgrowth@nottinghamcity.gov.uk, or visit www.mynottingham.gov.uk/growth100 the scheme is free and open to businesses of any size.

Unique Client Solutions and Mr Tomlinson in particular, will be following the scheme carefully, “We’re delighted to have such a forward-thinking scheme going on in our city, at Unique Client Solutions we’re confident it’s going to be a success.”

Unique Client Solutions Reviews Skyfall

We’ve been waiting long enough to write it so here it is, Unique Client Solutions’ review of Skyfall!

Normally before the release of big films with a lot of hype we’re a little apprehensive. Will it live up to our expectations? With Skyfall we had no such worry. The reviews were spectacular and a small group from Unique Client Solutions headed to the cinema this weekend with confidence and anticipation. We’re pretty good on our films, coming from a background of customer acquisitions for the entertainment industry, and the news coming out of the industry was that this film was good, very very good.

The opening sequence of Skyfall was as action packed as we’ve come to expect from Bond films, but the dying moments before the opening credits shocked us, and if it hadn’t been for the fact that there was still another 2 hours of film to go, we might have been worried! New bond girl Naomie Harris was slightly less slick and aloof than some of her predecessors but at Unique Client Solutions we warmed to her immediately. Adele’s fantastic new theme song rounded off a blistering opening sequence.

At Unique Client Solutions we’d read the rumours about the villains but nothing could have prepared us for the creepy wickedness of Javier Bardem, he almost stole the show from Mr. Bond himself. The film was beautifully shot  in fantastic locations and flowed well. The only hiccup was the storyline of Berenice Marlohe which at times felt a little incomplete and superfluous. The role that Ralph Fiennes was to play became clearer as the film went on and after the epic final sequence, beautiful in its simplicity, we’d already guessed what future he would have in the Bond franchise.

We said a sad goodbye to one of the best loved actors in the franchise, and welcomed back old friends to the reception desk of MI5, cough cough, we predicted that one! All of us at Unique Client Solutions enjoyed the return of the famous Bond one-liner. This was a special film, to mark the 50th anniversary, and it felt so. Do we think that we’ll see a return to the Bond of Casino Royale or Quantum of Solace? Perhaps but we loved Casino Royale so much we wouldn’t be disappointed. It’s been a long wait, with the dud of Quantum of Solace in between making the wait seem even longer. Was it worth it? You bet it was, Bond is back, in style.

Unique Client Solutions’ Top Tips for Taking Your Company International

With their move to The Netherlands just a few months away Unique Client Solutions share their tips on preparing for an international move. We love our home towns of Nottingham and Sheffield but we're excited for our first city abroad!

1. Choose your country wisely.

At Unique Client Solutions we though long and hard about which country would be the best business move for us. Important questions to ask are:

Where is there a gap in the market for our product or service?
What kind of individual are we looking to add to our team? Are we going to be able to find them?
Is the time difference going to be a problem when communicating between teams in two countries?

2. Learn from experience.

Look carefully at companies that have had international success. Study where they have gone, are there any patterns? Do they bring a team from their home country with them or do they find great people once they arrive? Do they offer exactly the same service in each country?

3. Prepare well.

At Unique Client Solutions we have been travelling back and forwards to The Netherlands for some months now to prepare ourselves well for the expansion. We’ve studied Amsterdam and found an area where we would like to be based. We’ve spent plenty of time with new and old clients based there to learn exactly what they want for their direct sales campaigns. We believe that this dedication and preparation will allow us to be on our game from day one.

4. Expect the unexpected

Every day in the business world you have to prepare for the unexpected. Flexibility and adaptability are key skills of great leaders. This skill is going to be put to the test when you start doing business in a new country. No matter how prepared we are at Unique Client Solutions we know that we’re going to come across things that we wouldn’t in the UK. Being mentally prepared for challenges will help you to work with them and around them.

5. Have fun

One of the best things about the modern business world is that international travel and expansion is so much easier. At Unique Client Solutions we believe that it is an incredible opportunity to be able to experience new cities and countries. We approach every day in our industry of customer acquisitions with a positive attitude and try to be great students. We get the best results for our clients but we like to have fun along the way. With this winning mentality we love what we do and are excited for the future of our company!

Unique Client Solutions Unconcerned By GSCE Grade Fall

Unique Client Solutions was surprised but unconcerned to learn of the first drop in GCSE grades in history.

Surprising results published this morning showed a fall in A*-C GCSE grades, the first fall since they were introduced 24 years ago.  Unique Client Solutions, a customer acquisitions company with offices in Sheffield and Nottingham explain why this might not be a bad thing.

Both GCSE and A-Level results have been steadily improving year on year since the exams were created however in an unexpected turn of events this grades have fallen for GCSE's. The overall drop in grades C or higher means fewer students passed the core subjects science, maths and English that are needed to progress in most professions. Unique Client Solutions believe that this will have a knock on effect on A level and university results if students are forced to re-sit the GCSE exams or simply settle with the lower grades.

In an attempt to address concerns of "dumbing down" and to ensure results were comparable, England's exams regulator Ofqual told exam boards they would have to justify any results notably different to those of previous years. A spokesperson for Unique Client Solutions said, “Although it’s a shame top GCSE  grades have fallen, it’s great to see that there are still overachievers who are working hard and reaching their goals. We’re sure the results are well deserved. Perhaps these figures might worry people at first but we think it will help to single out the real high achievers.”

Unique Client Solutions recognise academic achievements and feel that exam results are important. “Achieving well at school is a way to show potential employers that you are motivated and committed to the task at hand. That said success can be reflected in other forms through sporting and extra-curricular activities. Also those who have the time management to have a job while continuing their studies are also well regarded. Experience and versatility is everything in this difficult job market and it’s important to have many strings to your bow.”

Unique Client Solutions on Timeless Leadership

Unique Client Solutions looks at the fundamentals of leadership that never go out of fashion.

Keeping ahead of the game when it comes to customer acquisitions is fundamental to the success of Unique Client Solutions. We’re constantly mixing the tried and tested with the new to find the best possible techniques for our sales to ensure our clients the best possible results. We like to think of ourselves as great mentors too, and are keen to learn from others about the methods that they use to be great leaders. However, at Unique Client Solutions we believe that there are three aspects of being a great leader that never change.

Firstly mentorship. No matter how good we are at what we do, at Unique Client Solutions we believe in education at every level. Picking a mentor is something that you should take time over. What do you want to get out of your relationship? Have they been through the same things that you’re going to go through? Will they push you as much or as little as you want? When we’re mentors we aim to guide and encourage and help them to get everything they can out of the relationship.

Empathy is sometimes easily overlooked in any fast-paced business world. However the ability to spot when your team members are anxious or overwhelmed is an important leadership trait. In competitive industries like direct sales there are a lot of confident and driven individuals but everyone has a human side. At Unique Client Solutions we believe that you should remember to develop your emotional intelligence as much as anything else. Everyone has bad days and you need to know how to get the best out of people on every day. You’ll have to adapt your techniques accordingly.

Trust is essential for any relationship to develop. Do you have the trust of your team? Do you trust them? Trust is earned by being consistent in what you say and do. At Unique Client Solutions we value the trust of our clients and that ethos filters down through our company.

Unique Client Solutions Reviews The Bourne Legacy

Unique Client Solutions reviews The Bourne Legacy.

After all the fuss surrounding the latest Batman film it is easy to see why the latest film in the Bourne franchise hasn’t had the build-up of its predecessors. The Sheffield and Nottingham based company offers outsourcing solutions to the entertainment industry so films are their passion. On Saturday some of the film buffs at Unique Client Solutions took it upon themselves to head down to the cinema and see what the latest installment had to offer. The first three films were firm favourites at the customer acquisitions company, would the fourth live up to expectations?

The film is written to run concurrently with The Bourne Ultimatum and look at the fallout from the Treadstone programme, this time looking at one called Outcome. Jeremy Renner plays Aaron Cross, one of six agents who are medicated to make them ultra-efficient. Of course when the programme shuts down, like with Treadstone, the agents must be eliminated.

The film misses Paul Greengrass who directed the first three films. Tony Gilroy in the directors chair is left with the difficult task of trying to piece together a sequel but without its star actor and without a fantastic plot. The film still has the grit of its predecessors, Renner is actually very good but along with Rachel Weisz and Ed Norton they’re struggling to create something incredible out of a mediocre plotline. There are tantalizing moments when snippets of newsreel suggest that Jason Bourne is still out there and at Unique Client Solutions we wish he was.

Don’t get us wrong, this is still a perfectly enjoyable film to watch but unlike the last two films, this feels like a sequel a la Scream 2, 3 and 4. They’re trying to re-create the same ideas of the previous films but with a new group of people. So what is the verdict of the team at Unique Client Solutions? There is plenty to keep you interested but don’t go in with the misconception that this is a continuation of a fantastic story, it isn’t. This is a spin-off through and through. If they intend to do another we hope that they put a little more effort into creating a truly great plotline that will do the first three films justice. We give it 7/10.

Unique Client Solutions Wonders What the Future Holds for Jessica Ennis

After her emphatic victory to win the gold medal at the London 2012 Olympics, Jessica Ennis has a bright future ahead of her. Unique Client Solutions looks at what she can expect.

If there is one thing that Unique Client Solutions is exceptionally proud of, it’s home grown talent. So when Jessica Ennis crossed the finish line in the 800m, the final event in her heptathlon, people around Sheffield and the country celebrated. The customer acquisitions company has its headquarters in the city and you could honestly hear the cheers from peoples houses on Saturday evening! Quite aside from the glory that Ennis can expect to bask in over the next few weeks Unique Client Solutions has investigated what her future will look like.

Ennis was well and truly the poster girl of the London 2012 campaign. That position often comes with a price and many have faltered under its pressure. Thankfully for Jessica she was simply too well prepared, too focussed and too talented. Well before the games Ennis has enjoyed attention from sponsors which have brought her lucrative endorsement deals from big names like Jaguar, Powerade, British Airways, and Aviva. Her earnings leading up to the Olympics were estimated to have topped £1m.

The managing director of Unique Client Solutions, Simon Tomlinson, said “Sports is big business, we only have to look at footballers in the Premiership to realise that. However Ennis has everything going for her. She performed to all expectations, she has the looks and she’s an eloquent ambassador for UK sport. Sponsors will be lapping her up.” Coventry University Business School expect her earnings to double over the next year to at least £2m and they believe she can expect to earn around £5m over the next three years.

Mr Tomlinson says that there are big incentives out there for sportsmen and women outside of sponsorship. “Many athletes have performance bonuses built into their contracts. So they’ll get a certain amount for qualifying for their event, another amount if they reach the final and then much more if they win a gold medal or title.”

Where does Unique Client Solutions think Jessica will be in the next few years? “Putting aside her good looks and her sponsorship deals, Jessica is simply a world-class athlete. The hours that go into that means that these people have an exceptional level of drive, something that we really admire at Unique Client Solutions. Jessica will without a doubt go on to be a very wealthy lady but her intelligence and talent will also mean that she will do a huge amount for the UK promoting sport. Finally we’re confident that we’re going to continue to see her winning medals and titles around the world. First and foremost she’s an athlete and we think that will top all her priorities.”

Unique Client Solutions Wades into the Debate About Broadband

Customer acquisitions company Unique Client Solutions gives their take on the broadband debate taking place in the government.

Unique Client Solutions were delighted when they announced several weeks ago that super-fast broadband would be making its way around the country and to both Sheffield and Nottingham where they have offices. The customer acquisitions company specialises in direct sales for the telecommunications industry and their clients are at the forefront of bringing this new technology to the masses. However there has today been some criticism from a Lords committee which has warned that the government’s broadband strategy is too focused on speed and isn’t paying enough attention to bringing broadband to a wider audience.

The committee recommended that the focus of the strategy should be on improving the digital divide around the UK. Digital minister Ed Vaizey disagreed with the report saying that a “lot of public money" was already committed to extending broadband in rural areas.  Though the report wasn’t entirely critical, and praised the government for making broadband a priority, they suggested in the report that, “The delivery of certain speeds should not be the guiding principle; what is important is the long term assurance that new internet applications emerge, everyone will be able to benefit, from inhabitants of inner cities to the remotest areas of the UK.”

What does Unique Client Solutions feel about the situation? “We are incredibly excited about ultra-fast broadband in the UK. It is going to bring us on par with the likes of Hong Kong which offers 1000Mb speeds. However we also completely agree with the Lords committee. Speed should not be at the cost of reaching as wide an audience as possible. There are still people in many parts of the UK who simply cannot access broadband, primarily because they are in rural areas. As more and more of daily life goes online it is essential that the whole of the UK is able to access those services in a secure and speedy way.”

Unique Client Solutions suggest a balanced approach to the problem. “More research needs to be done by both the government and telecommunications companies like our clients to find out where these exceptional speeds are absolutely essential to businesses and the public. Money should be committed here to ensure that we can still compete on a worldwide level. There should also be a great deal of work done to find the areas which have absolutely no access to broadband, and these should be a priority also.”

One thing Unique Client Solutions is certain of is that it will be an exciting couple of years for them and their clients. “We know that huge leap forwards in terms of technology is going to mean that our clients are going to be able to offer incredible services to their customers. We will have the fantastic job of engaging with their customers and bringing these improvements into their homes and businesses. We know they’re going to be delighted.”

Unique Client Solutions Champions an Active Lifestyle

Unique Client Solutions was fascinated to learn that a sedentary lifestyle can dramatically shorten our lives.

In a paper published by The Lancet yesterday researchers from 16 countries have worked out the drastic health dangers of an inactive lifestyle. With the Olympics just days away Unique Client Solutions takes a look at the research and explains why they believe an active job is important.

The research shows that worldwide one in three adults doesn’t achieve the recommended 150 minutes of moderate physical activity per week and this rises to one in two in the UK. The Lancet researchers have estimated that a lack of exercise is responsible for roughly 5.3m deaths a year, approximately the same number as smoking. This is caused through diseases such as coronary heart disease, type 2 diabetes and breast and bowel cancer which have been linked to lack of exercise. A representative from Unique Client Solutions said, “These are really shocking statistics, we’re sure that most people have no idea how great a part lack of exercise plays in their lifespan.”

The researchers are hoping not only to get people into the gym, but to change their lives in such a way that they build physical activity into the their day as much as possible. “At Unique Client Solutions we totally agree, being fit and healthy is not simply about going to the gym once a week. It’s about choosing the stairs instead of the lift, it’s about walking short journeys instead of driving and engaging in fun physical activities with your family and friends.”

Unique Client Solutions is a customer acquisitions and direct sales company with offices in Sheffield and Nottingham. “The nature of our business is thankfully very active. We interact with our clients’ customers in a variety of ways but all of them have us up on our feet chatting with customers on a daily basis. What we notice in our sales associates are that there are healthy, proactive, fun and determined people. We’re sure that their active lifestyles have a lot to do with that.” A healthy lifestyle doesn’t just keep your heart healthy, it can help with insomnia and help manage stress, anxiety and even depression.

With the Olympics just over a week away Unique Client Solutions encourages you to get involved in the huge number of sports events that are taking place around the country celebrating London 2012. By all means watch Usain Bolt in the 100m but don’t spend your whole summer in front of the TV. Get out there and get active!

Unique Client Solutions Encouraged By Sheffield Plan to Create 5,000 Jobs

A £92 million plan to create 5,000 jobs and improve businesses in South Yorkshire has caught the attention of Unique Client Solutions.

Unique Client Solutions was intrigued to learn more about the bold plan to create much needed jobs in South Yorkshire. They understand that the money, provided by the Government’s Regional Growth Fund, is intended to support infrastructure projects to help speed up the development of Sheffield’s Enterprise Zone which in turn will boost investment to the region and create more jobs.

The partners behind the plan believe that it will cause the private sector to invest heavily in the region and create around 5,000 jobs, some of which will be during the building of the enterprise zone. Iain Taylor, one of the partners of the group, said “This is a bold, ambitious response to the economic situation driven by the private sector, which now seeks government support to accelerate development of these key Enterprise Zone sites.”

A spokesperson for Unique Client Solutions believes that whilst this plan is encouraging there are still some concerns. “There is no doubt that any plans which help improve private sector investment are welcome. At Unique Client Solutions we feel that the sector is going to be key in aiding the financial recovery of the UK. Our concerns lie in the fact that lots of these jobs are temporary and we need long-term positions so that people can create a stable financial situation for themselves and their families.”

The funding is also intended to improve the route between he Sheffield and Rotherham Enterprise zone sites by connecting them with the motorway. Money is also being set aside to improve super-fast broadband links at both sites, the scheme has been regularly championed by Unique Client Solutions.

The spokesperson concluded, “There have been a wide range of promising plans put in place to create jobs in Sheffield and unfortunately we haven’t seen much come of them so far. This plan certainly seems well thought-out and encouraging, we will watch its progress with interest at Unique Client Solutions.”

Unique Client Solutions Unsurprised at Graduates Worth

Unique Client Solutions looks into a recent report which shows that graduates contribute to the economy 10 times what it costs to educate them.

The topic of graduate unemployment is one which Unique Client Solutions has been discussing a great deal recently. So a University and Colleges Union (UCU) report showing that their contribution to the economy is 10 times what they cost the government to educate them is unsurprising. The customer acquisitions firm looks into the report in more detail.

The report reveals that graduates bring in £180,000 more than those simply with A-levels over their working career and the average degree costs the state approximately £18,800 per student. Unique Client Solutions finds these staggering figures worrying as the government starts in their latest reforms with the cost of a degree tripling. Their report suggests that these changes will limit the number of graduates that the UK produces and will damage the country’s ability to compete with other countries globally.

Comparing the direction that higher education is heading to other advanced industrialized nations is also concerning. Back in 2000 the UK had the third highest number of graduates but by 2008 it had fallen to 15th as countries like China and India invest so much more in their higher education programs. Unique Client Solutions understands that China has quadrupled its number of graduates between 1999 and 2005 and India is planning to create 800 new higher education institutions by 2020.

The UCU general secretary Sally Hunt said “This research shows the huge contribution A-level and degree holders make to our economy and instead of cutting places at college and university ministers should be looking to fast-track learners into the industries of the future.”

A representative for the Sheffield-based Unique Client Solutions said, “This report clearly shows that if the UK isn’t careful we’re going to fall behind our biggest competitors. We have a proud educational heritage in the UK and it’s essential we keep that reputation and make sure that graduates aren’t being forced abroad in search of work. There are plenty of new industries emerging that we can encourage them into and make sure we remain competitive on a global scale.”

Unique Client Solutions Impressed by Get Notts Working Campaign

Unique Client Solutions was thrilled to learn that The Get Notts Working campaign has surpassed all expectations and got some high profile backing.

Unique Client Solutions Nottingham has been discussing for some time the difficulties facing young people when trying to find work. Graduates and school leavers alike have been suffering high rates of unemployment in the economic downturn as most lack the experience that employers want to see. So when the customer acquisitions company heard about the Get Notts Working campaign they were thrilled that the city was taking things into their own hands.

The scheme aimed to find 100 new apprenticeships within 100 days but Unique Client Solutions understands that with 30 days still to go, local businesses have already promised 170 places and the campaign has raised their target to 200. Furthermore the scheme got public backing yesterday from Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, Vince Cable. He said, “I think it’s a brilliant initiative…It really supports the local city in the best possible way. The fact you’ve almost reached your 200 target is an enormous achievement.”

A spokesperson for Unique Client Solutions Nottingham said, “We’re so pleased that Nottingham has really go stuck into the problem of unemployment. So many cities are waiting for the government to produce schemes and plans but by using local knowledge and local businesses the city has managed to get almost 200 people incredible experience.”

Among the supporters of the campaign are Lord Sugar and John Hayes, Minister for Further Education, Skills and Lifelong Learning. Companies that have offered apprenticeships include South Notts College, Laing O’Rourke and the Nottingham Community Housing Association. Unique Client Solutions believes that gaining experience is key to finding long-term work. “It is incredibly important for young people get as much experience in working environments as possible. These apprenticeships will enable them to gain valuable skills and also put something back into the city that is giving them their opportunity.”

Unique Client Solutions is a customer acquisitions company with offices in Sheffield and Nottingham. It offers campaign management and direct sales to the telecommunications and entertainment industries.

Unique Client Solutions’ Guide to the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Weekend

In order to make the most of the extended weekend in honour of the Queen’s 60 years on the throne, Unique Client Solutions has come up with a guide to help everyone celebrate.

The majority of the events that are being held to commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee are occurring in London. The Thames River Pageant on Sunday 3rd will see up to 1000 boats navigating the river between Battersea Bridge and Tower Bridge. The Queen herself will be part of the pageant and there will be 50 screens in place along the route so everyone should be able to enjoy the day!

Unique Client Solutions believes the main event of the weekend will be the Buckingham Palace Concert. The concert, which is being held on the Bank Holiday Monday, has a variety of acts performing such as Jessie J, Paul McCartney and Madness. There is expected to be around 20,000 attending the concert but people without tickets will still be able to watch the concert live on BBC.

An event that is taking place across the country is the Big Jubilee Lunch that is planned for Sunday 3rd. For the Big Lunch, people are encouraged to eat with neighbours and friends as part of the celebrations. This can be in the form of a traditional street party or as a picnic! The last main event of the long weekend is a more formal one, on the Tuesday 5th there will be a Service of Thanksgiving and then a carriage procession by the Queen.

In Sheffield, where Unique Client Solutions are based, there are also a number of events to be enjoyed by the residents and any visitors to the area over the weekend. Jubilee Beacons will be lit in over 6 locations, including Chapeltown Park and Mayfield Valley. On Saturday morning there will be a service at Minster of St George to celebrate the Queen’s 60 year reign whilst on Monday 4th there is a huge celebration happening in Weston Park where there will be live music throughout the day!

Unique Client Solutions also wants to offer a few tips to make sure you can enjoy the weekend as much as possible:
·         Plan any journey you might take in advance, and allow plenty of time to get around
·         Don’t drive into London unless absolutely necessary as many roads are close and traffic is likely to be busy
·         Check the times of last trains, and leave early if you’re worried about getting home

A spokesperson from Unique Client Solutions commented on the upcoming celebrations saying, “It’s amazing that our Queen has been on the throne for 60 years and its great for the whole country that we get an extra two days to celebrate. We can only hope that the weather stays nice for the celebrations and that everyone is able to enjoy themselves!”

UniqueClient Solutions are a Sheffield based company, which offers their clients a unique service to deal with all of their customer acquisition and campaign management needs.

Unique Client Solutions Learns Slow Broadband Affecting Businesses

Unique Client Solutions Nottingham have learnt of recent figures showing that 63 per cent of companies that are based in rural areas in the UK are unhappy with the speed of their broadband.

Customer acquisitions company Unique Client Solutions, which specialises in direct sales to the communications industry, learnt that two thirds of businesses in the countryside find that their broadband speed hinders their daily business. This compares to 48 per cent of companies in urban areas.

Unique Client Solutions recently reported on the introduction of super high speed broadband into the UK. The Government funded scheme will roll out 20 Mbps to cities around the UK. The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) who provided the report believe that though this is an encouraging start, it will not go far enough and will actually widen the divide between urban and rural firms.

National Chairman of the FSB John Walker said, “These figures show that firms are still unable to access basic broadband to run their business effectively. With the technology we have today all firms should be able to trade overseas, throughout the UK and from town to village.” Unique Client Solutions backed his plea that “It is imperative the Government takes action to close the digital divide between urban and rural businesses.”

The report by the FSB entitled, ‘The missing links –revitalizing our rural economy’ also showed that 96 per cent of rural firms and 84 percent of urban companies believed that their reliance on the internet will increase in the coming years. It also showed that working from home and self-employment was far more common in rural areas.

Managing director of Unique Client Solutions Nottingham said, “We’re all relying on the internet more and more these days, not just for communicating but for carrying out essential aspects of business such as reporting and finances. Whilst we are very excited at the prospect of this huge upgrade of broadband over the next few years, it is imperative, as the FSB has said, that we don’t simply focus on major cities but spread the advantages around the UK.”

Unique Client Solutions Excited by New X Factor Judges

Unique Client Solutions Nottingham has learnt that Britney Spears and Demi Lovato will join the judging panel on the X Factor USA.

When it comes to reality shows Unique Client Solutions Nottingham believes that less is more. However they will concede that they have a guilty pleasure in the form of the X Factor. The UK show has been a huge success over recent years and its recent break into America has been just as popular.

Last season saw the USA steal Simon Cowell from the UK version as he teamed up with L.A. Reid, Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger. The show whilst popular in its first series fell short of the 20 million viewers mark that Simon Cowell had targeted and at the end of the series he admitted that he’d been “too arrogant” and that the show would get a revamp.

The show seems to have been surrounded by drama from beginning to end. Unique Client Solutions Nottingham were as disappointed as anyone when they found out that X Factor UK favourite Cheryl Cole was hired as a judge and then later dropped saying that she didn’t connect with the audience. After the show a serious change of the guard came into the mix. Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and host Steve Jones, were all unceremoniously axed.

“We weren’t all that surprised that Nicole and Steve were axed - they really failed to impress us, but Paula was a big shock. She has a huge fan-base over in the USA and people were clamouring to get her and Simon back together after their hilarious run on American Idol.” Nevertheless a new load of stars were shipped in to judge the show. Announced today in the line-up were Disney star Demi Lovato and pop-superstar, Britney Spears.

So what do the team at Unique Client Solutions think of the new additions? “We think Britney will be perfect, if anyone knows what the fickle side of fame is like, it’s her. She’ll be a fantastic mentor and her huge tours and productions will mean that she’s able to give some great tips on how to put on a great show.” Demi Lovato is less well known in the UK, she appeared in the film Camp Rock and had released three albums and is very popular with the tween market in the USA. The 19 year old said, on hearing of her appointment that “I’m excited to represent my generation and I’m ready to find the winner.”

Unique Client Solutions are still not sure whether the X Factor can overtake American Idol in the ratings war. “American Idol has lasted the test of time and the new judging panel with Jennifer Lopez, Steve Tyler and Randy Jackson has been incredibly popular which surprised many people after Simon Cowell left. It’s been around for 11 seasons and we think it could take something really special for the X Factor USA to knock it off its perch.”

Unique Client Solutions Delighted Nottingham Top Tourist Attraction

Unique Client Solutions has learnt that Nottingham has had a major increase in foreign tourists over the last year. A survey by VisitBritain compiled data on overseas visitors to British Cities in 2011 and found Nottingham to be above Bath, York and Windsor.

Although London and Edinburgh remained the two most popular urban destinations, Nottingham shared its 14th place with Newcastle. Both cities received 243,000 international visitors over the course of the year. In Nottingham the most popular visitor sites included Sherwood Forest and Nottingham Castle. Unique Client Solutions were also happy to hear that across the region visitor numbers have also risen, with the East Midlands experiencing an 8 per cent increase from 2010.

In order to keep foreign tourists visiting the city, Experience Nottinghamshire have arranged for a number of international journalists to visit the city over the coming year. One of these visits is to occur during the Robin Hood Festival in August, which will hopefully help to further nuture the historical interest in Nottinghamshire. The upcoming Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in June should also help to bring in more tourists, both domestic and international. A variety of celebratory events are planned to take place across the city that should attract a number of different types of visitors from families to students.

A spokesperson from Unique Client Solutions commented that "Here at Unique Client Solutions we are very excited to hear that Nottingham has had such an increase in foreign visitors over the last year. I believe that its continuation as a tourist attraction site in Britain can only help businesses in the local area to prosper". Popular attractions for the team at Unique Client Solutions include the Galleries of Justice, the Caves under the Broadmarsh Shopping Centre and of course the infamous Nottingham Castle.
Unique Client Solutions can only hope that this increase in tourist interest continues to grow and that Nottingham residents and companies can reap the benefits from it.

Unique Client Solutions Impressed by Record Rain

Unique Client Solutions was surprised to hear that April this year was the wettest recorded in 100 years.

Being based in Yorkshire means that Unique Client Solutions are no strangers to wet weather but the past few weeks of rainfall experienced across England have come as a shock even to them. The previously wettest April on record was in 2000 when an average of 120.3mm of rainfall fell, this April has seen an increase to 121.8mm across the month. Some parts of England saw an astonishing three times more than the average rainfall for the month. The worst effects of the rainfall were seen in the South of England in Devon, Somerset and Dorset. Exmoor in Somerset recorded the most rainfall with 273.8mm of rain compared with a 86.4mm average.

Not far from Unique Client Solutions in North Yorkshire, two rivers, the Ouse and Derwent, remain at a dangerously high water level. The Ouse is at approximately 2 metres and still rising. Fortunately flood warnings that were issued in the Sheffield area have now been removed.

Unique Client Solutions found it unusual that in contrast to the extreme weather this month, March this year was the fifth driest on record with only 36.4mm of rain in comparison to the average of 95.9mm. A spokesperson from Unique Client Solutions commented that, “The heavy rainfall across the country has come as a huge shock to everyone at Unique Client Solutions especially considering the mild weather we experienced at the beginning of the year. Here in Sheffield however we can at least feel fortunate that businesses and residents have so far been relatively unaffected by the poor weather conditions and we hope it continues this way.”

Unfortunately according to the MET office the heavy rainfall is set to continue throughout May. For some in the south this may bring relief as many had previously been warned about the implementation of a hosepipe ban. However the heavy swathes of rainfall have not been able to counteract the unusually dry conditions the United Kingdom has experienced over the previous two winters and therefore many areas are still said to be in drought. The spokesperson continued,“Despite the fact that the poor weather is set to continue for the foreseeable future, here at Unique Client Solutions we are hopeful that all our customers and clients are still able to enjoy the bank holiday weekend!”

Unique Client Solutions Unconvinced by Unemployment Fall

Whilst Unique Client Solutions is encouraged by a slight fall in unemployment in Sheffield, the customer acquisitions company feels it hides deeper problems.

Unique Client Solutions has reported many times on the difficulties facing people in the job market today so when they read recently released figures that unemployment had fallen by 76 to 3,010 in Sheffield South East constituency, there has still been a 10 per cent overall increase over the last year.

Unique Client Solutions, a customer acquisitions company based in Sheffield, feels that though unemployment is starting to stabilise there is a very real concern where youth unemployment is concerned. Managing director Simon Tomlinson believes that there is still a lot more work to do to rectify the problem, “Youth unemployment is 200 per cent higher than it was at this time last year, that is a staggering figure. The government is pushing on with their drive to get young people into work but we feel much more needs to be done, by way of entry level positions, to ensure that this figure falls fast.”

It was announced yesterday that Britain had entered recession again after the economy shrunk for the second consecutive month. Mr Tomlinson believes that this will be an additional worry to job seekers. “In general things had appeared to be moving in the right direction and when businesses are confident that things are getting better they are more likely to hire. Now that it has been announced that the economy isn’t moving in the direction we would have liked, businesses are likely to show caution. When companies are cautious about who they take on, they are far more likely to take on someone with experience, than risk starting a graduate straight out of university with little experience.”

What advice would Unique Client Solutions give to job seekers? “For those individuals who are really intent on finding work, you need to apply for as many positions and opportunities as you can. It can be time consuming but your efforts will pay off. It is essential that you get some kind of experience if you want to progress. In this kind of jobs market you’re going to have to be aggressive.”
