Unique Client Solutions Nottingham has learnt that Britney Spears and Demi Lovato will join
the judging panel on the X Factor USA.
When it comes to
reality shows Unique Client Solutions Nottingham believes that less is more.
However they will concede that they have a guilty pleasure in the form of the X
Factor. The UK show has been a huge success over recent years and its recent
break into America has been just as popular.
Last season saw the
USA steal Simon Cowell from the UK version as he teamed up with L.A. Reid,
Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger. The show whilst popular in its first series
fell short of the 20 million viewers mark that Simon Cowell had targeted and at the end of the series
he admitted that he’d been “too arrogant” and that the show would get a revamp.
The show seems to have
been surrounded by drama from beginning to end. Unique Client Solutions
Nottingham were as disappointed as anyone when they found out that X Factor UK
favourite Cheryl Cole was hired as a judge and then later dropped saying that she
didn’t connect with the audience. After the show a serious change of the guard
came into the mix. Paula Abdul, Nicole Scherzinger and host Steve Jones, were
all unceremoniously axed.
“We weren’t all that
surprised that Nicole and Steve were axed - they really failed to impress us,
but Paula was a big shock. She has a huge fan-base over in the USA and people
were clamouring to get her and Simon back together after their hilarious run on
American Idol.” Nevertheless a new load of stars were shipped in to judge the
show. Announced today in the line-up were Disney star Demi Lovato and
pop-superstar, Britney Spears.
So what do the team at
Unique Client Solutions think of the new additions? “We think Britney will be
perfect, if anyone knows what the fickle side of fame is like, it’s her. She’ll
be a fantastic mentor and her huge tours and productions will mean that she’s
able to give some great tips on how to put on a great show.” Demi Lovato is less
well known in the UK, she appeared in the film Camp Rock and had released three
albums and is very popular with the tween market in the USA. The 19 year old said, on hearing of her appointment that “I’m excited to represent my generation and I’m
ready to find the winner.”
Unique Client Solutions are still not sure whether the X Factor can overtake American Idol in
the ratings war. “American Idol has lasted the test of time and the new judging
panel with Jennifer Lopez, Steve Tyler and Randy Jackson has been incredibly
popular which surprised many people after Simon Cowell left. It’s been around
for 11 seasons and we think it could take something really special for the X
Factor USA to knock it off its perch.”
