Unique Client Solutions Enjoyed Derby Between Steel City Football Clubs

Sheffield based Unique Client Solutions watched the 127th Steel City Derby this weekend and described the atmosphere as ‘carnival-like’.
The Steel City Derby (or Sheffield Derby) is a local derby that takes place between Sheffield United and Sheffield Wednesday; the two professional football league teams based in the city of Sheffield, South Yorkshire. It is widely considered to be one of the most passionate and hotly contested derby matches in the country. Unique Client Solutions are split pretty much down the middle when it comes to team supporters and Monday morning was going to be glorious in the office for the winning team!

After weeks of anticipation and nerves, the competition came to a head this weekend when Sheffield Wednesday shocked Unique Client Solutions as they beat Sheffield United 1-0 in a fierce match which started at 1pm. The tickets for the big game sold out quicker than some fans anticipated, although former Owls manager Jack Charlton managed to get a ticket and was among the faces in the crowd that watched the blues’ victory.
Unfortunately trouble was inevitable but handful of arrests did little to affect the atmosphere on Sunday. 350 police officers took to the streets of Hillsborough and Sheffield City Centre to keep the crowds in order in the biggest operation for South Yorkshire police this year. Only 9 arrests were made yesterday before 5.30pm for minor assault and public order. “Unique Client Solutions enjoy the thriving atmosphere football matches bring to the Steel City, but it is a shame that there has to be trouble on the day. As much as there is rivalry between fans of the two teams, the game brings both sets of supporters together to enjoy the sport,” said an associate at Unique Client Solutions.
Sheffield United have led the series of league encounters since 1951 which meant Blade fans were disappointed on Sunday, they said their team played well in the first half, but failed to impress in the second. Fortunately for both teams the opportunity to compete comes round every year! Congratulations to Sheffield Wednesday from everyone at Unique Client Solutions…well nearly everyone!

Unique Client Solutions Enjoyed Controversy At Brit Awards 2012

It was an exciting evening for the British music at the Brit Awards 2012. Unique Client Solutions watched the ceremony and the controversy that came with it.

Unique Client Solutions were pleased to see Adele and Ed Sheeran take away awards for British Female and Male Solo Artist on Tuesday evening. They beat nominees Jessie J, Professor Green and Florence and The Machine. It was a real celebration of British music which has been going from strength to strength over the last 12 months.

The awards ceremony, held at the O2 Arena, was phenomenal with some fantastic acts keeping the audience entertained in between the awards. It’s become a bit of a habit that awards ceremonies have some controversy. This year it was star of the night Adele, who made an inappropriate hand gesture after being cut off during her acceptance speech by James Cordon. The host of the evening cut her sort to introduce the next act Blur, who have also recently announced they will be performing at the Olympics this year.

Unique Client Solutions were delighted to see Adele receive an award after her surgery last November, nevertheless they were shocked at her gesture on the night. “Adele showed herself to be feisty at the Brit awards, we are just wondering if we will see more of this attitude in her music” said the director of  Unique Client Solutions, Simon King.

Unique Client Solutions were rooting for nominees One Direction and Rihanna on Tuesday evening. One Direction did exceptionally well to win Best British Single after their success off the back of talent show The X Factor. “One Direction were our favourites in X Factor, so we really wanted them to win a Brit Award” Mr King continued.

Unique Client Solutions enjoy the competitive edge in the music business; they believe awards ceremonies are perfect to allow the artists to celebrate their success and also allow their fans to celebrate it with them. With the final major awards ceremony of the season, The Oscars, set to kick of on Sunday it looks set to be another late night for the customer acquisitions company.

Unique Client Solutions Watches Whitney Houston Laid to Rest

Singing sensation Whitney Houston’s funeral took place at her childhood church on Saturday in front of a star-studded congregation. Unique Client Solutions watched the moving ceremony live on television.

Unique Client Solutions was shocked to hear of the death of Whitney Houston a week ago. The star was found dead in the bath of her hotel room. Exactly a week later her funeral took place at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, New Jersey where Whitney first sang as a child.

Over 1,500 mourners filled the church which saw her The Bodyguard co-star, Kevin Costner, pay tribute to the “sweet miracle” of her life. Costner spoke of the unusual similarities between their lives, growing up in the Baptist Church, and offered many amusing anecdotes from her childhood. Unique Client Solutions felt that of all the tributes to Houston’s life, his was the most touching. He told the congregation, “Whitney returns home today to the place where it all began.” He urged them to “dry our tears, suspend our sorrow and perhaps our anger.”

Singing tributes included Stevie Wonder singing Love’s in Need of Love Today, and Alicia Keys Send me an Angel. Unique Client Solutions were surprised to learn that Aretha Franklin, Houston’s godmother, had been due to sing but pulled out as she was unwell. Echoing their turbulent marriage, ex-husband Bobby Brown stormed out of the church before the service began apparently because of a disagreement over the size of his entourage.

Though fans were kept away from the service itself, many took up vigils at the edge of the police barriers. The director of Unique Client Solutions said, “It seems a shame that fans weren’t allowed to stand outside the church to pay their last respects. I know that many watched it streamed live on the internet as we did at Unique Client Solutions.  The news was met with great sadness by all of us, it is always distressing to see such an incredible talent die young.”

Whitney Houston’s songs have seen a huge surge in sales in the week since her death. I Will Always Love You reached number 7 in the Billboard 100 chart. Unique Client Solutions is certain that her songs will remain popular well after her death.

Adverts for Dogs?! What Will They Think of Next? Asks Unique Client Solutions.

An advert has been released this week which claims to be the first aimed directly at dogs.

The associates at Unique Client Solutions like to settle down in the evening to their favourite soap. Could the advert by dog food company Bakers, interrupt the peace of their evening?  The company has released an advert which combines bells, whistles and barks with high frequency sounds that humans shouldn’t be able to hear.

The advert was premiered on the 13th of February during Emmerdale and is based on 1969 movie The Italian Job. Bakers believe that dogs are expected to react to the advert by pricking up their ears and tilting their heads. Unique Client Solutions sadly didn’t have a dog at hand to test the advert. Thankfully BBC Newsbeat did! One dog seemed completely disinterested in the advert whilst the other met it with barking and mild snarling. The dogs owner said “It definitely got my attention and would make me buy it. I could see this turning annoying though – you’d just end up muting the TV.”

A spokesperson for Bakers said that some young children might still have the hearing range to hear some of the sounds but they were perfectly safe, “It’s about pitch and tone. It’s not about increasing volume, which could potentially go too high.” Now we’re sure it’s safe what does Unique Client Solutions really think about it?

"Bakers must be hoping that the dogs barking will convince their owners that they are desperate for the product on the screen. At Unique Client Solutions we’d like to give dog owners a little more credit but it is definitely a clever publicity stunt by them which is sure to see their sales rise.”

The Telegraph’s Jojo Moyes had a slightly more humorous take on the gimmick. If it’s successful she predicts “smell-o-vision is the obvious next step: a pungent odour of kipper or catnip emanating from your magazine sachet.” Unique Client Solutions will reserve judgment on that one. What will they think of next?!

Need a Morning Boost? Unique Clients Solutions Learns of Inhalable Caffeine

Most people opt for coffee to get them out of bed and into work in the morning but Unique Client Solutions understands that scientists have developed a more portable way to wake you up in the morning, caffeine inhalers.

Unique Client Solutions has come across some unusual inventions in their time but this had to be one of the odder ones. A Harvard University professor has come up with a new product, Aeroshot, a pure energy shot which can be inhaled delivering a dose of lime flavoured caffeine.
The inhaler is designed to be an alternative to coffees and energy drinks and a solution for those who are looking for a buzz without the coffee taste. Unique Client Solutions, a customer acquisitions company based in Sheffield, were interested to hear the Aeroshot comes in an inhaler and releases a powdered shot of caffeine with each puff; the air then dissolves in your mouth and instantly awakens your system. Each inhaler contains 8 puffs, which is equivalent to one large cup of coffee.
This is not the first inhalation product the Harvard professor has created; David Edwards has been known for developing inhaled drugs and vaccines including a chocolate flavoured, calorie-free puff called Le Whif. Aeroshot has been introduced to markets in Boston and New York so far. Will it be a success or will people stick to good old fashioned coffee?
Unique Client Solutions are amazed at the new product and believe it might have some success. “It’s new, fun and definitely has a Unique selling point. You always take a risk with a new product or service, but as long as they’ve done their research, and people are feeling adventurous, we’re sure there will be some market for it” said a consultant at the company.
Unique Client Solutions love to hear about exciting new products and services which are being developed, “It takes a brave entrepreneur to introduce something new to the market, without the right research an invention can fly or flop.”
Unique Client Solutions specialises in customer acquisitions and direct sales campaigns. They work with some of the biggest telecommunications and entertainment providers in the UK delivering exceptional results to their clients.

Unique Client Solutions Anticipates Adele’s Grammy Comeback

Unique Client Solutions couldn’t be more excited about Adele’s planned comeback at the Grammys next week.
Adele had microsurgery on her throat last November and she has not performed since the operation. Unique Client Solutions are big fans of Adele and were gutted when they heard the news of her cancelled tour dates. The 23 year old singer said she was ‘immensely proud’ to be performing at the ceremony on 12th February. The ceremony will take place in Los Angeles and the star has been nominated for an incredible 6 nominations including Record of the Year for Rolling In The Deep.
Unique Client Solutions respect the determination and commitment Adele has put into her recovery and music to make sure this is a comeback to remember. A spokesperson for the company commented, “At Unique Client Solutions we believe that musicians are simply a creative entrepreneur; they take something special and unique and shape it into a profitable business. Creating success as an artist includes brand management, networking and a unique selling point is always an advantage. These are all characteristics necessary to run a successful business.”
Other Brits nominated include Radiohead, Mumford and Sons, Coldplay, Paul McCartney, Corinne Bailey Tae and Susan Boyle.  Amy Winehouse might win a posthumous award for her duet with Tony Bennett. “It’s another great year for British music,” comments Unique Client Solutions.
Unique Client Solutions will definitely be watching the show on the 12th February. It seems there will be another come-back on the night. It has just been announced that The Beach Boys will also be performing at the ceremony! Unique Client Solutions will also be keeping an eye out to see what crazy outfit Lady Gaga wears this year…

Unique Client Solutions Encourages you to Focus on Now

We’ve all heard about how important it is to plan for the future but Unique Client Solutions reckons it shouldn’t be at the expense of right now.

Every company has big plans and Unique Client Solutions is no different. Over the next six months the Sheffield-based client acquisition company has a new client in the pipeline and plans to open two more offices. It would be all too easy to simply focus on making sure everything is in order to for the future. However they argue that forgetting about day-to-day goals is sure to land you in hot water.

Looking only at the bigger picture is going to slow you down. If you tell a team to double their sales over the next year you’re unlikely to see the results any time soon. They’ll spend their time planning and coming up with strategies, forgetting all about the fact that they can increase their sales today. The director of Unique Client Solutions says that this is essential to how he runs his company. “We set daily goals, weekly goals, monthly goals…you get the idea. If we can do one extra sale today and the same tomorrow we’re going to far exceed that long-term goal but it seems very manageable,” he said.

A huge goal is daunting to people. If you give them a herculean task people go into panic mode asking ‘How am I going to do that?’ and ‘How am I going to measure such a big goal?’ Unique Client Solutions has a simple answer. “Whenever you tell your team about a big target follow it immediately with how you’re going to start doing that today. By telling them what they’re going to do today, and next week and next month, they will soon start doing what you want them to do and get on with it in small, manageable chunks.

You might ask, ‘What about those individuals who are inspired by audacious goals?’ No problem, you’ve still told them the overall goal but you’ve broken it down for the people who don’t react in the same way. Finally, Unique Client Solutions believes that if you make people urgent for results tomorrow then you’re going exceed your goals in the long run. “At Unique Client Solutions we find that setting really long term goals makes people think they’ve got plenty of time to pick things up. It’s the ‘I’ll start that tomorrow’ problem. Set them short-term goals and you’ll reap the rewards."
