A
£92 million plan to create 5,000 jobs and improve businesses in South Yorkshire
has caught the attention of Unique Client Solutions.
Unique Client Solutions was intrigued to learn more about the bold plan to create much
needed jobs in South Yorkshire. They understand that the money, provided by the
Government’s Regional Growth Fund, is intended to support infrastructure
projects to help speed up the development of Sheffield’s Enterprise Zone which
in turn will boost investment to the region and create more jobs.
The partners behind the plan believe that
it will cause the private sector to invest heavily in the region and create
around 5,000 jobs, some of which will be during the building of the enterprise
zone. Iain Taylor, one of the partners of the group, said “This is a
bold, ambitious response to the economic situation driven by the private
sector, which now seeks government support to accelerate development of these
key Enterprise Zone sites.”
A spokesperson for Unique Client Solutions
believes that whilst this plan is encouraging there are still some concerns.
“There is no doubt that any plans which help improve private sector investment
are welcome. At Unique Client Solutions we feel that the sector is going to be
key in aiding the financial recovery of the UK. Our concerns lie in the fact
that lots of these jobs are temporary and we need long-term positions so that
people can create a stable financial situation for themselves and their
families.”
The funding is also intended to improve the
route between he Sheffield and Rotherham Enterprise zone sites by connecting them with the motorway. Money is
also being set aside to improve super-fast broadband links at both sites, the
scheme has been regularly championed by Unique Client Solutions.
The spokesperson concluded, “There have
been a wide range of promising plans put in place to create jobs in Sheffield
and unfortunately we haven’t seen much come of them so far. This plan certainly
seems well thought-out and encouraging, we will watch its progress with
interest at Unique Client Solutions.”
